Mental Health Care Designed with Empathy
At Ocean View, we focus on providing caring, structured support for adults experiencing mental health challenges. As a licensed psychiatric facility in Southern California, we offer short-term inpatient psychiatric care centered on medication stabilization, along with step-down outpatient options to help patients safely continue clinical improvement.
Our 39-bed facility creates a calm environment where patients can be carefully evaluated and monitored by our clinical team. Through daily oversight from multi-disciplinary providers and individualized medication plans, we work to reduce symptoms that may keep patients from engaging in further care.
Beyond inpatient care, we offer partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs designed for those who can benefit from daily structure, skill-building, and therapeutic support. At every level, our goal is straightforward: to fully support patients as they achieve stability so they can move forward with the next phase of treatment or return to their daily lives with confidence.

Our Levels of Care
Explore our levels of care by selecting an option below.
Inpatient Psychiatric Care
Patients admitted to our inpatient mental health facility in Southern California are in the most acute phase of their symptoms and receive 24/7 medical oversight focused on stabilization and safety. Stays usually last 7-10 days and include daily psychiatric care to monitor progress towards symptom management. Patients also have the opportunity to participate in psychoeducation with social workers and recreational therapy led by a certified therapist with a focus on improving coping skills and emotional regulation. The goal of inpatient care at Ocean View is to regain stability with the help of our incredible team before stepping down to outpatient care or returning to your community.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our partial hospitalization programs (PHP) run 5 days a week, serving as the next level of care for clients who have shown clinical improvement in inpatient care, but are still looking for structured support. Here, you’ll participate in weekly medication check-ins and structured groups focused on daily living skills, emotional regulation, and medication adherence. Groups are designed to support real-world transition, not to serve as therapy sessions.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers similar structured support to the PHP but meets four days a week, instead of five. Designed for adults who have reached stabilization but can still benefit from daily structure, the IOP includes weekly medication check-ins and group sessions prioritizing life skills and emotional regulation. Like PHP, these groups are more practical and skills-based than traditional therapy, helping patients continue their clinical improvement while stepping back into everyday routines.

That’s why we coordinate transportation through a trusted service for patients entering inpatient care or stepping down to outpatient care.
Beyond the practical benefit, transportation often becomes part of a positive patient bonding experience. By handling the logistics, our team helps ensure that patients can focus on what matters most: their safety, comfort, and well-being.
